JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION: Adjunct Instructor of Business ManagementDIVISION/DEPARTMENT: School of Business and Aeronautical Sciences (MBA Program)FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Non-ExemptREPORTS TO: Chair, Business DepartmentThe Adjunct Instructor of Business Management is a part-time position employed for a specific assignment and specified academic term. The Adjunct Instructor of Business Management shall have the primary responsibility of supporting the School of Business and Aeronautical Science by maximizing its operating performance while achieving institutional goals and objectives. The Adjunct Instructor of Business Management position requires experience in the field with the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses both face-to-face and online. Faculty must develop and utilize a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.Essential FunctionsDevelop and utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.Maintain and oversee a full-time teaching schedule.Participate in scholarly activities and academic services beyond the regular teaching assignment including advising.Participate in the ongoing affairs of the University through self-initiated projects and service on ad hoc committees.Remain current in the discipline and instruct assigned courses in a manner consistent with the scheduled time, course content, and course credit approved by the faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or deemed appropriate to the accomplishments of the responsibilities and functions of the School of Business.The omission of specific duties does not preclude the department head from assigning tasks that logically relate to the position.
