Panels builds high-quality human voice data for the next generation of speech and audio models. We provide data to AI labs, with structured datasets that help models sound more natural, understand more context, and perform reliably across languages, accents, and real-world conditions. Voice is shaping up to be one of the primary interfaces for AI, and better data is what will make it feel truly useful and human.We're hiring a Data Operations Intern to help us recruit, onboard, manage, and support contributors across active data collection projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, fast, and comfortable working across people, databases, tools, and messy operational details.What You'll DoRecruit and onboard contributors across different languages, countries, and communitiesHelp manage active data collection projects, including audio recording and transcription workflowsTrack contributor progress, quality, payments, and project completion targetsCommunicate with contributors daily to answer questions, resolve issues, and keep projects movingFind creative channels for sourcing contributors, including communities, referrals, job boards, and local groupsReview operational data to identify bottlenecks, inactive contributors, quality issues, and languages that need more supplyHelp design and run incentive programs, referral campaigns, and deadline-based bonusesBuild lightweight processes, trackers, and playbooks so successful workflows can be repeatedYou Might Be a Fit If YouAre highly organized and can keep track of many moving pieces at onceRespond quickly and communicate clearlyAre comfortable doing hands-on operational work, including repetitive tasks when neededLike working with people and can manage contributors professionallyCare about quality and can spot when something is offBonus PointsExperience recruiting, managing, or growing communitiesExperience with data labeling, transcription, audio, research, or marketplace operationsAbility to use AI coding tools to automate workflowsExperience running ads, referral programs, campus outreach, or gig-worker recruitingThis is a practical operations role.
