Job DescriptionGHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Grand Island, Nebraska.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PCU - Progressive Care UnitDiscipline: RNStart Date: 05/25/2026Duration: 1 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelEstimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2463.52\n\nOpportunity:\nStepdown\n\nJob Details:\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM\n• Every other weekend requirement with holidays as needed to meet unit needs\n• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on 33-bed stepdown unit\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS\n• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue\n• First week classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts on the floor\n• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, IV antibiotics, and Insulin\n• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently\n• Float to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care as needed\n• Care for patients ranging from young adults through geriatrics with diagnoses including sepsis, STEMI, CHF, chest pain, stroke, renal failure, COPD, DKA, and complex medical issues\n• Work with RT equipment including BiPAP and Airvo\n• Use EPIC charting system\n• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination\n• Must maintain valid driver's license and live outside 50-mile radius\n• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility\n\nFacility:\nThis healthcare organization operates a busy 33-bed stepdown unit providing intermediate care for patients with complex medical conditions.
