Application Engineer

About The Role: As a key member of our engineering team, the Memory Validation Engineer will serve as the vital technical link between our customers and the engineering department for our DRAM portfolio, including HBM, DDR, and GDDR memory solutions. This role involves guiding product validation efforts, enhancing product quality, and supporting customers in integrating memory into complex platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment, leveraging data-driven problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative solutions. The engineer will be responsible for validating and characterizing DRAM products on system platforms and next-generation processors, analyzing product, yield, and performance data to improve reliability, and supporting failure analysis with documented corrective actions. Additionally, developing application notes, design guidance, and technical training materials will be part of your responsibilities. You will also assist customers during system bring-up, including signal integrity, power integrity, timing, and overall system integration efforts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of memory technology, directly impacting product development and customer success.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in product engineering, applications engineering, hardware validation, or system integration is essential. A solid understanding of memory technologies, system architecture, and platform validation will be highly valued. Familiarity with tools such as Python, Linux, and JMP is required to perform data analysis and automation tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are crucial for success in this role. Candidates are encouraged to utilize AI tools to enhance their applications, provided the information is accurate and truthful.

Responsibilities: Validate and characterize DRAM products on various system platforms and next-generation processors to ensure performance and reliability standards. Analyze product, yield, and performance data to identify trends and implement improvements in quality and reliability. Support failure analysis activities, documenting root causes and corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop application notes, design guidance, and technical training materials to assist both internal teams and customers. Assist customers with system integration efforts, including signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), timing analysis, and system bring-up procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to memory products. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance validation processes and product robustness.
