Entry-Level Aerospace Mechanical AssemblerThis entry-level role focuses on assembling aerospace components, including attaching wires to floor struts and other fabricated parts, while performing minor deburring and grinding as needed. You will work with hand and power tools in a clean machine shop environment, following written instructions to produce high-quality parts for the aerospace industry. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who are motivated to learn and build a career in aerospace manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesAssemble aerospace components by attaching wires to floor struts and various fabricated parts according to production requirements and schematics.Perform minor deburring and grinding on parts to ensure smooth finishes and adherence to quality standards.Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during mechanical assembly tasks.Follow written English instructions, work orders, and basic schematics to complete assemblies accurately and on time.Support production goals by maintaining consistent output and meeting daily and weekly assembly targets.Inspect assembled parts visually and by feel to identify defects or irregularities and make basic adjustments when needed.Maintain a clean and organized work area in the machine shop to support safety and efficiency.Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive assembly and light industrial tasks.Collaborate with team members and leads to learn new tasks, improve techniques, and support continuous improvement in the assembly process.Adhere to all safety guidelines and shop procedures while working with mechanical, electrical, and production equipment.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and strong interest in mechanical assembly and light industrial work.Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Capability to interpret and follow written English instructions for assembly tasks.Willingness and ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.Motivation to learn and grow within the aerospace manufacturing industry.Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical concepts related to assembly work.Ability to work in a production environment and meet quality and output expectations.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in mechanical assembly, light industry, or production is helpful but not required.Familiarity with schematics or simple diagrams is a plus.Experience with grinding, deburring, or similar finishing processes is beneficial.Interest in aerospace manufacturing and a desire to build a long-term career in the field.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work effectively as part of a small, growing team in a machine shop environment.Why Work Here?Join a family-owned precision metal machining company that values a close-knit, non-corporate atmosphere while producing high-quality components for the aerospace industry. The role involves standing for extended periods while performing mechanical assembly, grinding, and light industrial tasks using hand tools and power tools. The standard schedule follows a four 10-hour day workweek, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing three-day weekends on a regular basis.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Puyallup, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
