Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Patent Attorney or Patent Agent to join its growing intellectual property practice on either a full-time or part-time exclusive basis. The role will focus primarily on patent application drafting and patent prosecution for sophisticated technology clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with substantial experience independently managing patent portfolios and preparing high-quality patent applications. This position is ideal for a self-motivated patent professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment while handling cutting-edge technologies with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications Draft patent applications for advanced technology innovations Respond to Office Actions and communicate with the USPTO Manage patent prosecution matters with minimal supervision Collaborate with inventors, engineering teams, and technology clients Analyze technical inventions and translate them into strong patent protection strategies Maintain organized docket and workflow management Provide practical and strategic IP guidance to clients Support ongoing client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality work product Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in: Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent preferred Minimum 5+ years of recent patent prosecution and patent drafting experience Strong experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications independently Experience in one or more of the following technical areas is preferred: semiconductors AI/ML electrical systems/circuitry robotics displays sensors optics wireless communication systems automotive technology software systems biometrics medical systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and docket management skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Positive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset Ideal Candidate Experienced Patent Attorney or Agent with strong patent drafting and prosecution capabilities Technical background in electrical engineering, physics, or related technologies Comfortable independently managing prosecution matters with limited oversight Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex technologies clearly Highly responsive, organized, and detail-oriented Collaborative team player who values long-term client relationships Interested in flexible remote or hybrid work arrangements while handling sophisticated technology matters
