Also to assist in HVAC equipment trouble shooting and diagnostic solutions. Supervise subordinate maintenance technicians while on shift.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Trouble-shoot/diagnostic solutions and repair all kitchen equipment (i.e. refrigerator, ice machines, stoves, ovens, steamers, table tops, dishwashers, and all other commercial kitchen equipment).• Assumes primary responsibility for designated shift in the absence of the manager.• Supervises other associates on shift in handling problems, incidents, etc.• Preventive maintenance to all equipment.• Plumbing and electrical work with regards to kitchen equipment, hook-up, relocation and replacement.• Provides general assistance to maintenance associates.• Repair and or replace light bulbs, electrical motors, and ballast as needed.• Vacuums refrigeration filter and coils on a regular basis.• Changes HVAC filters.• Hang promotional signs and banners.• Repairs minor plumbing and electrical and carpentry problems.• Maintains facility equipment.• Repairs minor problems in the restrooms, kitchen, and toilets/urinals.• Provides general assistance to all maintenance associates as needed.• Is current on facility disaster plan and acts accordingly.• Is courteous, friendly and helpful with customers and associates.• Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques and products.• Other duties as assigned.Promotes the following within the department and among all Team Members:• Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.• Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.• Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.Blue Lake Casino & Hotel requires Team Members, on a continual basis...• To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.• To maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.• To enforce performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to the department.• To maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position typically supervises a staff of approximately 12 Team Members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSRefrigeration Certificate, Appliance Technician, and/or Contractors License.While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
