Project Accountant

Project Accountant Columbus, Ohio | Full-Time | 100% Onsite (8:00am–5:00pm) Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000 Our client is a well‑established and growing commercial construction company seeking a detail‑oriented Project Accountant to join their onsite team. This role is ideal for someone who excels working independently, is comfortable being the primary accounting support for projects, and is eager to learn the company’s internal processes. Key Responsibilities Perform construction accounting functions, including AIA billings and prevailing wage work Provide AP/AR support, including invoicing, payment coordination, and resolving discrepancies Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reports Support month‑end close (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting) Partner with operations and estimating to develop and maintain project budgets and compliance Ensure data integrity across internal systems Maintain GAAP compliance and assist during audits Handle special projects and stay current on industry best practices Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of accounting experience Experience in the construction industry Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Experience with prevailing wage environments #INMAR2026 #LI-LC1 #LI-Onsite
