We place high value on training and professional development, encouraging you to broaden and strengthen your unique skill sets so you can fully realize your potential.Job DescriptionPCI is seeking an experienced Mechanical Insulation Estimator for its PCI Washington DC 566 operations based in Ashburn, VA.Job Responsibilities IncludePerform quantitative takeoffs on construction projectsEstablish labor productivities for estimateMaintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricingSolicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-performing groupGain understanding of market conditions and competitive approach through engaging customer feedback on proposal scope clarifications and price.Understanding backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages to mitigate risk.Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teamsParticipate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relationships.Utilize wage and benefit schedulesHand-off secured projects to the Operations teamAssist in other duties as assigned such as change orders depending on the project(s)Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaborationSalary Range: $88,000-$116,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.This position is safety sensitive.Basic RequirementsStrong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.Excellent communication and customer service skills.High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.Proactive and self-motivated Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, BuzzBID, Quickbid, and/or MIKE.Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.Preferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related disciplineAt least 2-4 years of experience estimating construction projects is preferredExperience with estimating/project management/managing HVAC pipe and duct insulation scopes of construction is preferredLocal to San Antonio metro areaThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.BenefitsAt Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
