The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing the finance unit, serving as the financial spokesman for the department, and providing in-depth financial analysis to support the development and execution of strategic financial plans. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure the department's financial activities are in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations, and who can proactively manage internal and external audit risks. The Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Financial Steward will also be tasked with building and managing a high-performance team of administrative and financial professionals. Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and ten years of progressively responsible experience, with at least five years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and advanced skills in Excel and database management. They should be adept at building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders, and have a proven track record of strategic financial management. A Master's degree and experience in higher education are preferred.
