Warehouse Team Lead
We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily operations and lead a team within our warehouse facility. This role ensures smooth workflow, adherence to safety standards, and achievement of productivity goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, material handling, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:Daily Operations & LeadershipOrganize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet delivery and shipping goals.Supervise and motivate warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.Lead daily SIM meetings and communicate priorities clearly.Maintain presence on the floor (95% of shift) to support team and resolve issues.Workload & Order ManagementPrepare morning workload for pickers and ensure readiness at shift start.Track and monitor late jobs; review prior day’s workload and escalate unresolved issues.Distribute orders based on workload (LTL, Express, Truckloads) to minimize congestion.Verify staging accuracy for pickers and ensure packers can locate pallets easily.Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety rules: speed limits, PIT operation standards, and daily PIT inspections.Ensure only certified drivers operate PITs and maintain compliance with safety protocols.Conduct daily 5S inspections and maintain warehouse organization standards.Quality & InventoryEnsure all products meet quality standards and specifications.Notify inventory and quality teams of issues promptly; audit flagged orders.Verify availability of supplies (pallets, boxes, stretch wrap).Performance TrackingCalculate daily productivity targets and monitor progress throughout the shift.Run end-of-day reports and provide explanations for variances.Submit barriers, improvement ideas, and ICIDOs to enhance operations.MiscellaneousRespond to emails/messenger and communicate effectively with coordinators and logistics teams.Escalate issues beyond your control to the Warehouse Supervisor.Pay Transparency: For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $50,000 and $57,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
