What We Need This position focuses on customer and hauling partner engagement, delivering outstanding client support and executing functions related to account management, procurement, and processing service requests. You will manage the entire customer life cycle to ensure business retention, oversee a book of business, establish long-term partnerships, and improve profit margins for both customers and vendors. Using strategic thinking and data analysis, you will implement predictive solutions that enhance sustainability and elevate the customer and vendor experience. Eligibility This position is remote and available to candidates residing in the following states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. What You Will Be Doing Effectively manage and grow Book of Business in the Strategic Partnership Team. Ensure retention metrics and keep customers under long-term contracts. Generate new opportunities within the existing customer network for new sites and new services. Attend sales meetings and conduct business reviews with key accounts regularly. Use the CRM daily for customer activities and sales pipeline management. Monitor customer activity and proactively recommend service changes or solutions. Guide customers as an industry expert on waste and recycling technology, diversion opportunities, city bylaws, and regulations. Collaborate with the Sustainability department to assist customers with waste auditing, diversion reporting, and other services. Attend and present at client meetings, company functions, networking events, and other necessary duties. Execute service requests directly with hauling partners, including extra pickups, temporary bins, and roll-off haul requests. Other duties or projects as requested. Must Have Skills / Experience 2+ years experience in account management, procurement negotiations, and/or customer success. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong task prioritization, multitasking, and independent execution with minimal supervision. Willingness to take responsibility for outcomes and ensure the job is completed. Self-driven, effective prioritization, and execution of tasks. Ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results. High degree of knowledge of the service industry preferred. Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or Netsuite. Nice To Have Previous experience in business analysis or the waste, diversion, and recycling industry. Fluency in other languages.
