Commissioning Technician - Special Projects
The Commissioning Service Technician performs start-up, maintenance, and repair operations on large, complex, heating and cooling systems and associated control systems. The Commissioning Technician is also responsible for maintaining the quality of work at acceptable company standards, and for representing the company to the customer in a manner that ensures effective communication and a positive relationship. This applies to the individual as well as his/her truck, tools, and equipment as well as customer propertyPerform start-up and repairs as defined in work ordersOversee work of apprentices and helpersObtain purchase orders and make small purchases required during the performance of work, including maintaining sufficient standard truck inventory; conduct inventory of all standard truck stock as requiredKeep the Commissioning Supervisor informed of location at all times to include: current location, last stop and next stop)Provide training to building owners and apprenticesAttend periodic meetings with supervisor as required to review work progress and potential problems felt to be beyond his/her ability or authorityPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorYou should have:Possess knowledge of current BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulationsPossess HVAC Journeyman's or Master's licenseAbility to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely mannerPossess EPA approved CFC CertificationAbility to deal diplomatically and effectively with customersAbility to work within precise standards of accuracy, make decisions based on measurable criteria and comprehend technical dataAbility to work independently without direct supervisionAbility to maintain a sense of urgency and remain calm when handling emergenciesSchedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
