If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoy helping people, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career.Key ResponsibilitiesWarmly greet patients and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional first impressionSchedule, confirm, cancel, and adjust appointments to optimize provider availability and patient flowManage a high volume of incoming phone calls with courtesy, efficiency, and clear communicationAccurately enter, update, and maintain patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systemsCoordinate daily provider schedules to ensure smooth and efficient operationsMaintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and office policiesAssist with prior authorizations and other healthcare administrative tasks as neededCollaborate with clinical and administrative team members to resolve scheduling or patient concernsSupport general front desk and clerical operations to keep the office running smoothlyEssential Qualifications1–2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar healthcare front-desk roleProficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systemsExperience handling prior authorizations in a healthcare settingStrong data entry, clerical, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and high call volumes while remaining calm and professionalExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both in person and over the phoneCommitment to patient privacy and office proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills & AttributesPrevious experience in a dental or healthcare practiceStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex and changing schedulesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamComfort with office technology and healthcare softwareInterest in expanding your skills within a growing healthcare organizationWork Environment & ScheduleThis Is a Full-time (40 Hours Per Week) Position In a Fast-paced, Patient-centered Dental Practice. The Office Operates During The Following HoursSunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Some Sunday availability is required. There may be scheduling flexibility, including the possibility of four 10-hour shifts, depending on practice needs. The role involves consistent interaction with patients and staff, use of EMR and scheduling systems, and working at the front desk in a professional clinical setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
