We truly are a one-stop-shop in process cooling solutions. Description:Our Service Team supports our customers/partners in a range of environments. Poultry Processing Plants, Bagged Ice Facilities, Seafood Plants and Nuclear Power Plants are just a few of the environments we support. Morris has an opening for an experienced senior level refrigeration technician certified to work on both ammonia and halocarbon industrial systems. Job responsibilities include providing technical instruction and assistance to lower-level field service representatives regarding installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment at customer installations. Performing installation, service and on-site repairs of Morris heat exchangers and associated refrigeration equipment. Responding to requests for emergency or troublesome equipment repairs. Must be able to work under direction and from definite objectives, referring only unusual cases to a supervisor. May operate in the field or from home office to provide technical support.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot refrigeration systemsReplace faulty refrigeration parts, rebuild valves, compressors, controlsInstall new refrigeration systems, including ice machines and other heat exchangersAnswer questions that clients may have about Morris-supplied refrigeration systemsObserve and test newly installed systems to ensure they work properlyQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience working with either refrigeration systems or HVAC systemsAbility to read and understand blueprints and technical instructionsAbility to use various tools without needing supervision Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment in accordance with the preventive maintenance program Have the ability to optimize refrigeration systems operation Provide mechanical, technical, and operational support for refrigeration projects Supports the customers maintenance team in matters pertaining to Morris equipment Assures compliance to refrigeration standards set forth by maintenance management, State and Federal Regulations Analyzes refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determines appropriate repairs Stays current on the latest technology pertaining to Refrigeration, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Boilers Checks air compressors, pumps, refrigeration rooms and freezers Experienced with 3-phase motor control systems Able to respond to unplanned breakdowns with a sense of urgency Practiced in safe work habits A team player with obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work Self-starter, dedicated to continuous quality improvement Ability to work independent of direct supervision Comfortable working in a frequent travel environment Skilled xaygatp in customer communication including the ability to gain the trust of the customer Proficient in written and verbal communication skills Computer and smartphone use skills, including filing reports from the field Possess a valid travel passport or ability to obtain one post-employment Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background Check Relocation to North Carolina not necessary Clean Driving RecordPreferred Qualifications: Licenses or certifications in: HAZMAT, RETA, CIRO, E.P.A, CARO, OSHA, RMP Relevant degree such as Associate and High School Degree in Technical, Education, Associates, Industrial, Trades, Environmental Technology, Military, Math, Air Conditioning Physical Requirements: Sitting - Up to 10 hours per day Standing - Up to 10 hours per day Walking - Up to 6 hours per day Lifting - Up to 50 lbs.
