Cost Estimator / Tooling Project Coordinator

On behalf of our injection molding client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Estimator / Tooling Project Coordinator to join their team.ResponsibilitiesJob Cost Estimating Preparing accurate cost estimates of company-produced goods and services Acquiring costs from the purchasing department or suppliers for materials needed for quotes Communicate with customers professionally and confidentially on a daily basis Ensuring quotes are received by customers promptly Ensuring that all details communicated on written proposals are accurate Tooling project coordination Assist with project management of injection mold tooling that is purchased from suppliers for new programs Ensure that tool suppliers are provided with the latest information and specifications for tool builds Be a primary point of contact for any issues regarding tool builds assigned to manage Provide backup assistance for all tooling issues Perform supplier visits as needed Upon completion of projects, ensure any lessons learned are reviewed/captured to improve future project execution Escalate issues to management as needed Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education preferred Minimum of 6 months manufacturing background preferred Must be able to proficiently use and manipulate Microsoft Excel spreadsheets Must be able to use job costing modules within ERP software used by the company Must have proficient basic math skills and be able to calculate area, volume and weight accurately General knowledge of manufacturing processes Must be able to accurately review and understand industrial part drawings ( orthographic projections) Good verbal and written communication skills ( grammar and spelling) Must be able to use a measuring tape accurately MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
