Our team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable professionals is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to become an integral part of our operations.Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments while supporting overall accounting operations. A critical component of this position is accurate General Ledger (GL) coding and ensuring expenses are properly aligned with departmental budgets and company financial controls.Key Responsibilities:Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficientlyReview invoices for proper approvals, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policiesPerform accurate GL coding of invoices with a strong understanding of budget alignment and expense allocationWork closely with department managers to ensure expenses are charged to the correct budget categoriesPrepare and process weekly check runsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain organized AP files and documentation for audit purposesAssist with month-end closing activities including accruals and account reconciliationsCommunicate professionally with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiriesSupport continuous improvement of AP processes and internal controlsQualifications:2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of GL coding and expense allocation principlesExperience working with budgets and ensuring coding accuracy against financial plansProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and ability to work effectively in an in-office team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience in manufacturing, construction, or multi-department budgeting environmentsERP system experience preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plusEmployee benefits*:MedicalDentalVision8 paid HolidaysUp to 4 weeks of accrued PTO401k PlanNote: The Company may, at any time, with or without notice, alter or change job responsibilities, reassign, or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities.
