Directing and maintaining a service and cleanliness driven attitude which serves as a guide to respective staff is a must. Maintains a respectful, knowledgeable, and hands on presence ensuring guests feel secure in the overall property cleanliness. Housekeeping team members hold coveted positions where dedication to providing impeccable services and cleanliness is evident. Welcoming, gracious, cleanliness driven service is the standard of the Delamar Traverse City Housekeeping team. Essential Job Functions: · Task assignment in absence of Executive Housekeeper · Opening Guest Rooms for the day’s operation after check-out · Assigning Rooms to Housemen to be “stripped” · Conducts Inventory of Housekeeping Supplies · Conducts ordering of Housekeeping Supplies in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper · Ensuring Guest requests are adhered to in a timely fashion (when pertinent to Housekeeping) · Coordination with Front Office and Engineering to ensure seamless interdepartmental communication · Must be “hands-on” in Housekeeping Operations · Must lead by example for all aspects of Housekeeping Operations · Conducts Daily Housekeeping Recap in absence of Executive Housekeeper · Observe staff and give constructive feedback · Conducts Room Inspections of “clean” Guest Rooms · Ensures outstanding overall Hotel Cleanliness at all times · Maintains a friendly, professional, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times · Supervise daily shift process, ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and are attentive to overall hotel cleanliness · Resolves issues/problems and coaches and counsels Housekeeping team members to ensure a quality operation · Oversees Guest Rooms Floors and lobby areas to ensures all areas are clean, stocked with supplies, and all areas of the Delamar Traverse City are left “guest-ready” at all times. Required Experience/Requirements: · Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in housekeeping field (or 1 year in a supervisory role) · Proficiency in English (verbal & written), multilingual is a plus · Must be flexible in terms of working hours and schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. · Must possess outstanding guest service skills, professional presentation, and communication skills · Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment · Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests · Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards · Ability to follow instruction · Professional and polite Physical Demands: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
