Overall Objectives of JobBackup Administration :Technical (Must Have)End to end Commvault Backup Infra administration and support to perform regular backup and restore functionalities across all supported platform backupsHands-on knowledge of other tools like Avamar , Strong background of Storage concepts and networkingKnowledge of Backup/Recovery strategy of all Virtual platforms, On-prem and Cloud workloadsPlanning and implementing, fault tolerance and strategies for backup and restoring files on the networkServer/Client installation on different platforms (Unix/Windows/Linux).Knowledge in managing Domains, Clients, Users through Create and Manage Dataset, Schedule and Retention Policy.Capacity management in terms of storage utilization and Commvault LicensingJob Monitoring: Oversee daily backup jobs & Admin Jobs, resolve failures, and execute test restores for data integrity to meet business demandsStrong Knowledge on data De-duplication along with various backend storage conceptsBackup migration concepts and infra preparation KnowledgeStrong Knowledge about DR Concepts and Restoring backups within the region and cross region conceptsPerformance monitoring for Backup & Restores helps to validate Backup & recovery procedures to meet business requirementsEvidence collections procedures with Commvault Backups to support internal & external Auditing requirementsDocument backup procedures, recovery runbooks, and infrastructure changes on CV infraKnowledge about patching process, upgrades, and system enhancements with Commvault environmentsBasic knowledge about Automations and Commvault workflow integrationsExperience in Automation / AI Integration to the backup solutionIP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data, backup design and configuration.VMware and OS Level knowledge (Recommended)Technical Skills (Desirable)Datacentre Migration-Planning and ImplementationVendor management and Co-ordinationUnix and/or Windows systems administration experience.Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication.Experience in managing SAN on heterogeneous environment (Unix / Windows).Familiar with ITIL / AGILE processes.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with project/service managers and technical teams for planned system upgrades, changes, administration and run the business tasks in the Backup infrastructure domainProvide day to day operational activities with Backup/Recovery environment and supporting platform teamsAssist in Data Center consolidation efforts and migration plan outPerform a Maintenance of H/W and monitoring of the Backup Infrastructure across the pre-production & Production environmentCapacity planning and performance analysis of backup and recovery infrastructureEnsure Implementation processes and procedures are developed, implemented and followed for various activities with respect to Backup Infrastructure ProjectsProper documentation of various implementation procedures for system and migration & upgrades before operational handoverStrategy Plaining related to backup infrastructure in terms of on-going enhancement of Backup & Recovery environmentQualification, Experience, Technical and Functional SkillsUniversity Graduate degree (Mandatory)Knowledge of ITSM tools like Service NowHandson Experience in Commvault / Avamar Backup Server AdministrationUnderstanding and well known to Linux/Windows Server InfrastructureBasic Knowledge on Networking conceptsProjects/Support related rolesCloud Technology (AWS/Azure)Datacentre migration & support related rolesConfident to interact with the IT Managers, Service Desks and Service Providers in the RegionExcellent command over written and spoken English (Mandatory)Working in L3/L4 Roles in a global delivery team modelCertifications - Backup & Recovery Commvault, Cloud (AWS/Azure)Experience in Automation / AI Integration to the backup solutionA fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
