Sealcoating Applicator

About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and reliable Sealcoating applicator to join our sealcoating crew in 2026 and moving forward. This role is ideal for an experienced Sealcoating professional who excels in the field, can operate multiple types of equipment, and takes pride in delivering top-quality sealcoating work while helping teach and mentor new inexperienced members and assist our foreman in Operations. The ideal candidate is an all-star buggy operator and sprayer with strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and the ability to communicate clearly with crew members—bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and respectful to all!Key ResponsibilitiesCrew Leadership & Communication The ability to lead a sealcoating crew to safely and efficiently to complete projects on schedule int eh absence of the foreman. Train, coach, and support crew members to ensure proper application methods and jobsite best practices. Maintain clear communication with project managers, dispatch, and customers. Serve as a bilingual communicator (English/Spanish preferred) to help coordinate and support diverse crews.Equipment Operation Operate all essential sealcoating equipment, including Buggy machine, Spray rigs, Blowers, cleaning equipment and supporting equipment, crackseal pot, drive the CDL tanker truck, and more Accurately apply sealer by spray AND Buggy according to specifications.Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform daily inspections, basic repairs, and routine maintenance on all equipment. Diagnose operational or mechanical issues quickly to reduce downtime. Coordinate major repairs with mechanics or management.Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols on job sites. Ensure proper handling of sealers, fuels, additives, and materials. Maintain accurate job documentation, logs, and reports.Required 3+ years of sealcoating or pavement maintenance experience. Proven ability to run a buggy and operate spray equipment effectively. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues. Leadership skills and ability to direct a crew. Valid driver’s license with clean record. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor. English proficiency (Spanish proficiency a strong plus).Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish. CDL Class B with tanker endorsement — or willingness to obtain one with company assistance.
