Lead QA automation Engineer

About Halo:We are looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer with 7+ years of QA Automation experience and strong expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end automated testing solutions.This is a hands-on leadership role focused on automation, API testing, QA strategy, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate has experience working closely with developers and stakeholders in Agile environments and helping drive QA best practices across teams.Responsibilities:Lead QA automation initiatives and define testing best practices.Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for APIs, backend services, and UI.Build and maintain API integration tests using tools such as Supertest/Jest or similar.Collaborate with developers to implement a strong test pyramid strategy.Perform backend validation using SQL databases such as MySQL or Oracle.Validate AWS-based services including Lambda and S3.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Mentor QA engineers and contribute to improving QA processes and frameworks.Track defects using Jira and maintain documentation in Confluence.Required Skills & Experience:7+ years of experience in QA Automation.Previous experience in a Lead QA role.Strong experience with API testing and REST APIs.Experience with JavaScript-based automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.Strong knowledge of automation design patterns (Page Object Model).Solid SQL knowledge for backend validation.Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3).Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments.Fluent English communication skills.Nice to Have:Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Experience designing automation frameworks and QA architecture.Experience working with distributed/international teams.Benefits:100% RemoteSalary in USDOpportunity to work with U.S.-based clientsInternational and collaborative environment
