The position works closely with leaders and team members to ensure that people processes are completed accurately, consistently, and in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.Essential FunctionsResponsible for all team member relation issues. Serves as the people services legal compliance to include federal and state compliance.Respond to questions from leaders and team members regarding policies, procedures, and people processes.Assist leaders with documentation for coaching conversations, and corrective actions.Coordinate leave of absence requests including FMLA, ADA, and personal leave documentation and tracking.Conduct complaint intakes when necessary and responsible for all employment investigations.Assist with unemployment responses, audits, and other regulatory requests.Provide people support to leaders and team members and escalate issues when appropriate.Responsible for the talent experience of the teammates.Responsible for the talent pipeline programs: internship and apprenticeship programming.Oversee and coordinate culture initiatives and engagement.Partner on leadership development, IDP's, IDI's, succession planning, talent reviews, engagement and the performance management cycle.Responsible for executing the total rewards strategy for compensation.Administer daily people processes and ensure accurate completion of people documentation and communications.Maintain people data including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and job updates.Support benefits administration including enrollment questions, life event changes, and coordination with APi Group Benefits.Support payroll-related processes by ensuring team member data updates are submitted accurately and on time.Serve as a back up to payroll as needed.Coordinate separation and offboarding activities including documentation, final pay coordination, and system updates.Maintain job descriptions and organizational documentation as business needs change.Coordinate full cycle talent acquisition including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and hiring documentation.Support onboarding activities for new team members including orientation coordination and required paperwork.Perform additional duties as assigned.Foundational BeliefsDemonstrate leadership through daily actions and serve as a positive ambassador of APi's culture.Foster a workplace built on trust, respect, accountability, and genuine care for others.Embrace continuous learning and take ownership of personal growth and development.Support the development of others and contribute to a culture of Building Great Leaders.Promote collaboration and strong relationships that support team success and business results.Core CompetenciesLeadership - Coaches and influences leaders and team members while promoting accountability, professionalism, and continuous development.Communication - Strong written and verbal communication with leaders and team members.Organization - Ability to manage multiple people processes while maintaining strong attention to detail.Execution - Ability to follow established procedures and complete work accurately and on time.Confidentiality - Ability to handle sensitive information professionally.Customer Service - Responsive and supportive approach when assisting team members and leaders.Position Type & Expected Hours of Work* This role may include a combination of remote and in-office work at the discretion of the supervisor.* A regular and reliable work schedule is required to support business operationsTravel Requirements* Up to 25% travel for training and miscellaneous business needs.Benefits and Compensation:This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our Duluth, MN office. The pay range is $75,000 - $100,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
