The ideal candidate will be experienced in the assembly, inspection, and testing of complex electrical and/or mechanical systems. Assembly and Wiring Technician responsibilities include the assembly of metal, plastic and electronic parts, evaluation of drawings, documentation, and process control. This role is critical, and applicants must be self-starters who require little supervision to assemble switchgears quickly and safely. Production schedules must be meticulously maintained.Key Responsibilities Assemble metallic, electric and plastic components following drawings, specifications and bills of material.Terminate, route, bundle, and label wires and wire harnesses according to IEM standards, and methods.Operate computer, terminal and wire labeling equipment.Mount devices using various tools including, drills, taps, wrenches and clamps.Scale ladders to attach overhead objects.Assure connectivity of cables and test for compliance to standards.Identify opportunities to simplify and improve techniques.Comply with all safety, quality and work rules, guidelines, and regulations.Maintain production equipment, and a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.Escalate problems and communicate progress.Accurately transact data and update dashboards.Handle, store and retrieve materials.Support others.KPI'S On time to promise (%)Production downtime (%)Scrap rate (%)Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.Flexibility to adjust to challenges and changing priorities.Skill in promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet production deadlines.Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.Qualifications 3-5 years of assembly experience; preferably in both mechanical and wiring.1-2 years of experience, or training in document control.Forklift experience a plus.Lean manufacturing experience preferred.Workplace Conditions Physical Demands:Activities: Sitting 10% Walking/Standing 90%Climbing: Up to 10 steps at a time.Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.Vision: Ability to see small or detailed items.Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Environment: Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration.Compensation The salary range for this role is $32-$45 per hour, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
