Details Inpatient orthopedic and medical/surgical unit setting Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) 12-hour shifts Epic EMR experience required for this position Level 1 Trauma facility experience required Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience Epic EMR experience required Level 1 Trauma facility experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Perform shift assessments on orthopedic and med/surg patients and develop individualized plans of care Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs Coordinate patient care with physician and surgeon partners Set up and manipulate orthopedic traction devices for mobility and wound care Manage wound appliances including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices Delegate and monitor interventions performed by HCT staff May be required to complete annual education per DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system American Traveler Job ID P-693019.
