Talascend is currently seeking a Flight Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.OverviewThis hybrid role involves working on complex avionics or embedded systems development, requiring significant experience in flight management or flight guidance systems. The position offers the opportunity to lead systems engineering projects in a dynamic environment, supporting design, integration, testing, and certification activities.ResponsibilitiesAvionics or embedded systems development and requirement definitionSupport the design and development of hardware, software, and network componentsProvide successful execution of complex engineering projectsImplement and enforce security measures and compliance standardsLead deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring proper installation, rigorous testing, and optimal performanceProvide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues to minimize downtimeConduct testing and integration on lab test benchesSystem verification and validation activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematicsMinimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership in flight management or flight guidanceComprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshootingStrong technical knowledge and expertise in advanced systems engineering technologiesExperience with project management tools and methodologiesPreferred QualificationsAdvanced engineering degrees such as MS in aerospace engineeringExperience leading complex system integration projectsKnowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS NG and Atlassian toolsExperience with agile development processesDiverse and global teaming and collaboration experienceEffective and proactive communication skillsBusiness-oriented approach to software developmentStrong understanding of DO-178B/C and ARP-4754 standardsVerification test plan experienceARINC 429 and signal debug capabilityAnalytical skills and software development abilitiesStrong problem-solving and attention to detail with a results-oriented mindsetPassion for innovation and continuous learningWe thank all applicants for their interest.
