Assistant, Associate, or Senior Member - Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon

The head and neck surgeon provides surgical care for patients with oncological diseases anddisorders that affect the ears, nose, throat, the respiratory and upper alimentary systems and relatedstructures of the head and neck. Deals with the repair, reconstruction or replacement of physical defectsof form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures. They useaesthetic surgical principles not only to improve undesirable qualities of normal structures but in allreconstructive procedures as well. Surgeon possesses special knowledge and skill in the design andsurgery of grafts, flaps, and free-tissue transfer. Competence in the management of complexwounds and tumor surgery is required.Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of theacademic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention andcure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care,research, and education. Respond to ENT/head and neck surgery consults and develop treatment plan, which mayinclude urgent/emergent surgery.
