Capital Markets Associate

OverviewCurrently partnered with a $300bn asset manager looking to expand their private equity capital markets team. The purpose of this role is to optimize how deals are financed and executed.This is a unique role as it sits at the intersection of the investment and investor relations teams where it utilizes one's technical capabilities in a client facing capacity.ResponsibilitiesDebt Sourcing: Collaborating with banks, credit funds, and institutional investors to secure loans or high-yield bonds to fund buyouts.Optimization: Ensuring the debt structure aligns with the target company's cash flows and the firm's return objectives.Syndication: Working with financial institutions to distribute the debt to a broader base of lenders if needed.Lender & Investor Coordination: Prepare materials for lenders, bondholders, or co-investors and support negotiations with banks, private credit funds, or capital providers.Deal Financing: Model financing scenarios, including cost of capital, IRR impact, and sensitivity analysis.Requirements 1-4 years of experience in leveraged finance or financial sponsorsDirect experience closing transactions (lead left)Strong financial modeling and credit underwriting skillsetAbility to articulate clearly, and effectively, to internal and external stakeholders
