About This Role Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers.The Staff Accountant is responsible forassistingin the accounting operations of the company. This includes participation in the monthly close process through the preparation of general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, supportingschedulesand financial reporting. This includes performing account analysis, investigatingvariancesand issue resolution. Responsibilities include but not limited to: The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need: Assist with month and year end closing information Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recordedaccuratelyand account balances are accuratelystatedin accordance withGAAP and Company policyincluding journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepareconsolidatedinternal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments Monitor funds for payment of payroll, taxes, and cash position Perform accounting analyses and reporting functions Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 3-5 yearsingeneral accounting experience Experience with an ERP system preferred (SAP, Oracle,etc) Work experiencein production ormanufacturing preferred Strong general accounting skills/familiarity with GAAP Ability to interact effectively and positively with employees,vendorsand clients Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer and software related skills Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit forlong periodsof time Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands andarms;and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Frequently lift and/or move up to50 pounds.
