DescriptionThe BIM Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards, workflows, and technologies across the firm. This role supports project teams from concept through construction administration by ensuring the effective use of BIM tools to enhance design quality, coordination, efficiency, and project delivery. The BIM Manager works closely with principals, project managers, designers, and consultants to align BIM practices with firm-wide goals and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesBIM Strategy & StandardsDevelop, maintain, and enforce firm-wide BIM standards, templates, families, and best practices.Establish BIM execution approaches aligned with project scope, delivery method, and client requirements.Monitor emerging BIM technologies and recommend tools or process improvements.Project Support & CoordinationSupport project teams in setting up and maintaining BIM models from schematic design through construction administration.Lead or support model coordination, clash detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Ensure models meet internal quality standards and external deliverable requirements.Process Improvement & Quality ControlImplement quality control procedures for BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and constructability.Help teams resolve BIM-related challenges efficiently while maintaining project schedules.Support documentation workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.Training & MentorshipTrain and mentor staff on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices.Serve as a technical resource for project teams and help elevate firm-wide BIM proficiency.Support onboarding and ongoing skill development for new and existing staff.Client & Consultant CollaborationParticipate in meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants related to BIM expectations and deliverables.Assist with BIM execution plans, model sharing protocols, and coordination strategies.Support BIM-related requirements for construction partners during CA.Technology & Data ManagementOversee software configuration, version control, and model data management.Coordinate with IT or leadership on upgrades, licenses, and technology needs.Support data-driven workflows, including model-based quantities and visualization.SkillsArchitecture, Construction document, Revit architecture, BIM, modeling, grasshopper, dynamo, Revit, Drafting, Project management, Construction drawings, NavisworksTop Skills DetailsArchitecture,Construction document,Revit architecture,BIM,modeling,grasshopper,dynamoAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Strong working knowledge of Revit and common BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks).Understanding of architectural workflows across multiple project phases.Experience supporting or managing BIM on complex architectural projects.Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams and disciplines.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical support.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reston, VA.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
