Epic Integration Engineer

NOT ABLE TO WORK WITH VENDORS ONTHISPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Epic Technical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and optimization of Epic applications and connected healthcare systems. This position is responsible for building and maintaining interfaces, APIs, data integrations, and back-end Epic technologies that support enterprise healthcare operations.This is a highly technical role focused on system interoperability, data exchange, troubleshooting, and platform engineering. Candidates should have hands-on experience working within Epic environments and supporting large-scale healthcare technology ecosystems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support Epic integrations utilizing Epic Bridges, Interconnect, HL7, FHIR, and RESTful APIs.Build, maintain, and troubleshoot healthcare interfaces between Epic and third-party applications.Develop and maintain SQL queries, reporting datasets, and data extracts from Clarity and Caboodle.Analyze interface failures, message queues, logs, and integration performance issues.Configure and support Epic Interconnect web services and API integrations.Participate in Epic upgrades, deployments, testing, and environment management activities.Support data migration, conversion, and application integration initiatives.Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, database, and security teams to resolve technical issues.Develop technical specifications, interface mapping documents, and integration workflows.Monitor data integrity, system performance, and interface health across Epic-connected systems.Support enterprise interoperability initiatives involving external healthcare organizations, vendors, and partner systems.Required Qualifications5+ years of Epic technical support, development, or integration experience.Hands-on experience with Epic Bridges.Experience supporting Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle data platforms.Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x, FHIR, X12, and healthcare interoperability standards.Experience developing and troubleshooting APIs, web services, and system integrations.Advanced SQL experience including query optimization and data analysis.Experience working with interface engines such as Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Corepoint.Experience analyzing application logs, interface queues, and integration failures.Strong understanding of healthcare data structures and EHR architecture.
