Residential Registered Nurse SupervisorStarting Range: $65,000-$70,000, Personalized salary reflecting your related experience and academic/credentialed background.FLSA Status: ExemptLocations: Lighthouse Women's Residence- 244 Hempstead Ave, Buffalo, N 14215 and Renaissance Addictions Services- 920 Harlem Rd, West Seneca, NY14224SUMMARY OF DUTIES:The Residential RN Supervisor for Lighthouse and Renaissance Addiction Services is responsible for all professional nursing duties as required. The Residential RN Supervisor provides training and supervision to other nursing staff, including licensed practical nurses and any on-call or part-time registered nurses. The Residential RN Supervisor is responsible for compliance to regulations, policies and procedures. The Residential RN Supervisor will ensure the continuity of care within the maintenance medication programs. The Residential RN Supervisor will maintain clear communication with pharmaceutical contacts to work toward improving medication access. The Residential RN Supervisor will oversee and/or coordinate insurance communications to obtain prior authorizations and any other communication as necessary. The Residential RN Supervisor must be willing to allocate time to multiple clinics.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:The Residential RN Supervisor for Lighthouse and Renaissance receives clinical and administrative supervision from the Program Director. The Residential RN Supervisor provides supervision to all other Nurses.RESPONSIBILITIES:Completes health histories and nursing assessments for each client.Coordinates linkage for medical services as needed.Observes urine sample collection.Offers group sessions on maintenance medication.Provides consultation about HIV/hepatitis screening.Provides training on medical issues to clinical staff.Dispenses IM injections.Supervises all other CD nursing staff within the agency.Audits client charts regularly to ensure compliance to protocols.Obtains prior authorizations from insurances as needed.Seeks and/or provides coverage when other CD nurses are off.Maintain communication with pharmaceutical companies regularly.Communication with venders to ensure receiving best possible outcomes.Schedule and assigned duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the clients we serve.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Must have strong knowledge of nursing functions, including mental health medications as well as maintenance medications.Must be knowledgeable on protocols for maintenance medications.Must be knowledgeable about communicable disease transmission.Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate to clients and staff both individually and in group settings.Ability to speak Spanish desirable.May be required to participate as member of on-call team.Supervisory experience desirable.QUALIFICATIONS:Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing, a bachelor's degree preferred, plus a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State or possession of a temporary permit.Four years of experience, at least three of which must have been in mental health, substance abuse treatment, or perinatal health care setting.ANDA valid NYS drivers' license.Automobile in good working order.Must have Accredited NYS Defensive driving course; or obtain within 15 days of hire.Must maintain Active NYS Defensive Driving class every 3 years, upon expiration.If driving one's own vehicle, must maintain valid inspection and automobile insurance.Must provide proof of insurance upon hire and when requestedSome things you can look forward to:Welcoming, team environment, that inspires you to thrive and be your BestSelf!Rewarding work experience!Generous paid time offFlexible scheduleVarious student loan forgiveness programsMultiple and diverse health insurance optionsMany other unique lifestyle & personal insurance optionsTuition reimbursementCASAC certification tuition supportProfessional license/certification renewal reimbursementDefensive driving course reimbursement (if required for position)Career growth and advancement opportunitiesWe look forward to telling you more!
