This role ensures that land-related investments are assessed accurately, aligned with strategic goals, and executed with financial discipline.This position is embedded within the LEAD team and serves as a key connector between land operations and financial oversight. The Land Analyst works closely with the Acquisition Specialist, Entitlement Development Research Specialist, and Finance team to maintain accurate internal land tracking systems, analyze development costs, and support long-term land portfolio planning. This role is for someone with 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling who is energized by solving complex problems and enjoys building models that drive investment decisions, and thrives in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. Prior land or real estate experience is not required — training will be provided.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain financial models to evaluate land investments and develop partnerships.Coordinate with Finance and external partners to ensure timely delivery of documents and responses related to off-balance sheet land holdings.Analyze development budgets and actual costs to ensure alignment with financial expectations.Maintain internal land tracking systems and support improvements to land portfolio toolsConduct market research and competitor tracking to inform land strategy and pricingSupport strategic planning through scenario modeling and forecastingAssist in identifying and evaluating potential new markets for company expansionCoordinate due diligence activities and summarize key risks and findings for leadershipMaintain organized records of due diligence documentation and deal statusCollaborate with Finance to ensure accurate budget and cash flow planningAssist in reviewing and revising land contracts with the Acquisition and Legal teamsRecommend process improvements and support tool development (e.g. GIS, evaluators)Qualifications And SkillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred)3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling across multiple projects or rolesExperience in Excel-based modeling, scenario analysis, and presenting financial insights to decision makersStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesValid driver’s license and clean driving recordMust be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicleWork Environment And Physical RequirementsWorks in a temperature-controlled office environment with low noise levelsFrequently required to stand, walk, and sit in a vehicleOccasionally required to lift, pull, and push objects up to 10 pounds
