Staff Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will manage various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, payroll, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will excel in handling accounts payable and receivable while supporting overall business operations.Responsibilities:- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.- Assist in month-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.- Generate financial reports and analyze data to support business decisions.- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.- Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, for day-to-day operations.- Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights and recommendations.- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for audits and compliance.- Support consulting projects with financial expertise and analysisRequirements - At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.- Familiarity with payroll procedures and regulatory compliance.- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
