Machine Learning Research EngineerNew York City, HybridBioTalent are partnered with an elite computational science and AI organisation is hiring Machine Learning Research Engineers to work on advanced deep learning systems across scientific AI, simulation, and large-scale modelling applications.This role sits within a highly interdisciplinary team combining machine learning, engineering, and scientific research to solve complex real-world problems using state-of-the-art AI techniques.The roleYou’ll contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of machine learning systems used across large-scale scientific and computational environments.Responsibilities include:Developing and training deep learning modelsBuilding scalable ML pipelines and workflowsWorking on multimodal learning and generative AI applicationsCollaborating with engineers and researchers across highly technical projectsImproving model performance, training efficiency, and infrastructureExploring novel ML techniques and research directionsWhat they’re looking forStrong background in machine learning and deep learningExcellent Python programming skillsExperience with modern ML frameworks and training workflowsStrong academic or industry track record in AI/MLExperience with distributed training or large-scale systems is beneficialIntellectual curiosity and strong technical problem-solving abilityExposure to computational science, molecular modelling, physics, chemistry, or scientific AI is helpful but not essential.Why joinThis is not a traditional product-focused ML role.
