JCW is currently working on behalf of a growing specialty E&S insurance carrier seeking a VP General Casualty Underwriting Manager to lead the expansion of its primary casualty platform. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling a profitable casualty portfolio while helping shape underwriting strategy, product development, and broker distribution initiatives across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and expansion of the primary General Casualty platform, including underwriting strategy, pricing, coverage development, portfolio management, and profitability oversight.Build and manage strong relationships with wholesale brokers and trading partners while driving new business production and market visibility.Recruit, mentor, and develop underwriting talent while partnering cross-functionally with operations, compliance, technology, and reinsurance teams to improve underwriting processes and operational efficiency.Qualifications8+ years of General Casualty underwriting experience within the E&S market.Proven track record of building profitable books of business, developing broker relationships, and leading underwriting strategy and portfolio growth initiatives.Entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership and decision-making capabilities within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.If you're interested, please send your updated resume to clara.masson@jcwgroup.com or apply directly.
