Job title: Patient Registrar - Russian FluencyJob location: Brooklyn, NY 11215Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 16:30)length: 13 weeks, Possible extensionPay: $20 - $26/hr without benefits Requirements: Education: HS Diploma/GEDOne year of clerical experience in Primary care or multispecialty medical officeCustomer service experienceData entry skills of 4500 keystrokesEffective communication skillsTelephone – skills / Computer skills/Keyboard skills / Customer Service SkillsKnowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements Key Responsibilities:Greets and registers patients in a tactful and courteous manner. Obtains all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information and enters into appropriate computer system.Performs insurance verification checks for Medicare, Medicaid and/or Blue Cross in the Medical Group billing system. Performs other insurance verification functions as required.Schedules and maintains daily appointment schedules taking into consideration availability of resources. Sets up clinic for efficient management of appointment flow (e.g., Medical Records retrieved, chart set-ups prepared).
