American Medical Associates - Registered DietitianLocated in Sodus, NYSalary: Up to $80K; Based on prior experienceAPPLY NOWRequirements of the Registered Dietitian:Must have experience as a Registered DietitianMust have experience in long term care/skilled nursingGeneral knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practicesWill be responsible for the clinical aspect of DietaryDuties and Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian:Assess the Residents' nutritional status, provide recommendations to medical staff for diet, and develop nutritional care plansEvaluate special needs of Residents regarding nutrition support, skin breakdown, mood and significant weight issuesCoordinate procurement of nutrition support supplies and oral supplements with outside vendors as well as involved department headsMonitor Resident meal service to ensure diet modifications are followedEducate Residents, families, and staff in concepts of nutrition & diet modificationRoutinely evaluate Dietary Care plans for effectiveness to ensure high quality of careParticipate with an interdisciplinary team to review and adjust residents' plan of careWork closely with Speech-Language Pathologist to ensure appropriate mechanically altered diets are provided for residents with dysphagiaReviewing all menu changes to ensure they follow the facility's policies/procedures & State/Federal guidelinesRecommend diet order and menu changes in computer menu softwareComplete required assessment and documentation such as assigned MDS areas and periodic assessmentsMonitor residents weight and food/caloric intakeCommunicate with an interdisciplinary team on a daily basis to provide quality care to Residents#7247
