Team members have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive innovation and modernization across diverse industries.Role Description This is a contract Lead Java Developer role in a hybrid arrangement, based in Remote, OR, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Lead Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. This role includes leading technical design discussions, reviewing code, and guiding the implementation of solutions using Java and the Spring Framework. The individual will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring developers, enforcing coding standards and best practices, troubleshooting complex issues in production and non-production environments, and contributing to continuous improvement of the development lifecycle and tooling.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Java and general Programming skills, with experience designing and implementing complex backend systems.Strong experience with Python Programming.Hands-on experience in Software Development using modern engineering practices (e.g., CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, version control).Practical expertise in Microservices architecture, including designing, building, and integrating distributed services.Deep knowledge of the Spring Framework (such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building enterprise-grade applications.Experience leading technical teams, mentoring other developers, and setting coding standards and best practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills, with the ability to own complex issues end-to-end.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and coordinate with distributed teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
