Machine Operator
Machine OperatorAs a Machine Operator, you'll play an important role in keeping our production operations running smoothly and efficiently. You'll support the setup, operation, and cleaning of production lines while ensuring products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and consistency directly impact the quality of the products we deliver to customers.Production OperationsSet up and operate production equipment, including carton erectors, tape machines, box printers, conveyors, and related machineryAssist with line changeovers and preparation for upcoming production runsWork closely with teammates to meet daily production goals and schedulesQuality, Safety & ComplianceMonitor product quality throughout the production process and address issues as they ariseAccurately complete all required production and quality documentationFollow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP, SQF, and food safety guidelinesClean and sanitize equipment after each production run to ensure readiness and complianceFlexibility & ReliabilitySupport overtime and flexible scheduling as needed to meet customer demandSafely lift up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, and squattingMaintain reliable attendance and contribute positively to a team-based environmentWhat We're Looking ForSkills & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredBasic English reading and writing skillsBasic math skillsExperience working in a manufacturing or production environment is a plusStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow safety and food safety requirements consistentlyComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on roleHow Success Is MeasuredConsistent production output that meets quality and safety standardsAccuracy and completeness of production documentationAdherence to SOPs, cGMP, and food safety requirementsReliability, teamwork, and willingness to support production needsClean, organized, and properly prepared production linesAbout FoodScienceFounded in 1973, FoodScience maintains offices in Williston, Colchester, and Waterbury, Vermont.
