Bilingual Advocate for Family - Child Advocacy Center (CAC)
EAC Network is actively seeking a dedicated Bilingual Family Advocate to join our esteemed Child Advocacy Center (CAC) NCA Provision of Core Direct Services Program, situated in Central Islip, NY. This is a full-time opportunity, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accompanied by an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and 401K options, along with a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) structure.Job OverviewAs a Bilingual Family Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Spanish-speaking crime victims and their families. You will work closely with the CAC Division Director to coordinate essential services, ensuring that our approach is both compassionate and effective.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison between victims and various social services agencies.Assist both Spanish and English-speaking victims in preparing and submitting necessary documentation for victim compensation.Maintain accurate case records as mandated.Collaborate with other victim service agencies to ensure seamless service provision and avoid duplication.Provide backup support to the CAC Division Director during office hours.Compile and present monthly and quarterly statistical reports.Engage in administrative functions associated with the Child Advocacy Center.After review, complete Medical Staff Vouchers and submit Purchase Orders for services rendered.Manage the Medical Staff database and associated records as required.If necessary, transport and escort clients to appointments, ensuring the use of appropriate child restraint systems.Required SkillsBilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management.Strong understanding of administrative procedures.Valid NYS driver’s license and access to a vehicle.QualificationsAn Associate’s Degree is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.A minimum of two years of relevant experience in social services or a related field is essential.Join us in making a significant impact in the lives of those we serve while advancing your career within a supportive and mission-driven organization.Employment Type: Full-Time
