Job Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Auto Damage Estimator & Shop Manager to join our growing team. This role combines collision estimating, insurance coordination, customer service, and shop operations management.The ideal candidate is someone who can write accurate estimates, close jobs, manage workflow, and deliver an exceptional customer experience from intake to delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Insurance HandlingWrite accurate, insurance-compliant estimates using CCC ONE (or similar)Communicate with insurance adjusters for approvals, supplements, and negotiationsIdentify all visible and potential hidden damagesManage supplements to ensure full repair coverageUnderstand and apply NY Regulation 64, total loss thresholds, and claim proceduresCustomer Experience & SalesGreet customers and guide them through the repair processExplain repairs, timelines, deductibles, and insurance procedures clearlyConvert walk-ins and leads into repair jobsProvide consistent updates to customers throughout the repair processHandle objections and maintain high customer satisfactionShop Management & OperationsManage daily shop workflow and production scheduleCoordinate with technicians, painters, and parts vendorsEnsure repairs are completed efficiently and to quality standardsMonitor cycle time, efficiency, and delivery deadlinesPerform final quality control checks before vehicle deliveryParts & Vendor CoordinationOrder and track parts (OEM, aftermarket, LKQ)Handle returns, core credits, and price matchingBuild and maintain relationships with vendors and dealershipsAdministrative & Business DutiesTrack jobs, supplements, and repair statusMaintain organized work files and documentationAssist in hitting monthly sales and revenue targetsSupport marketing efforts and referral relationshipsQualificationsExperience in collision estimating and/or body shop management (required)Strong knowledge of insurance claims (first-party & third-party)Familiarity with CCC ONE or estimating softwareUnderstanding of repair procedures and vehicle constructionExcellent communication, negotiation, and sales skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Traits (THIS is what makes someone successful here)Hungry, driven, and money-motivatedStrong leadership mindsetProblem solver who takes ownershipOrganized and detail-orientedCustomer-first mentalityAbility to handle pressure and high volumecan speak spanish
