Database Conversion Specialist

Talascend is currently seeking a Database Conversion Specialist located in Waukesha, WisconsinOVERVIEWThe role involves delivering technical expertise in database conversions and supporting implementation projects within the healthcare industry, ensuring successful deployment and client satisfaction through technical support and effective communication.RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the implementation of MES solutions using the software suite, owning all technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.Engage in project phases, contributing to architectural, design, and functional decisions to ensure delivery aligns with budget, timelines, and customer expectations.Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored strategies through site assessments.Provide standard recommendations on workflows, applications, interfaces, reporting, testing, and data uploads during implementation.Responsible for go-live preparation, support, and post-deployment check-ins, working collaboratively with internal teams and clients.Develop in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and use prior experience to execute policy and strategy.Use judgment and propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, solving straightforward tasks using technical skills and analytic thinking.Provide informal guidance to new team members and support ongoing project coordination and time management.QUALIFICATIONSStrong MS SQL Server experience (development, interpret and understand complex queries, data validation, troubleshooting)Excellent communication skillsExcellent troubleshooting and critical thinkingCapable of communicating technical information clearly and effectivelyStrong problem solving skills and attention to detailExperience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teamsAbility to manage multiple customer implementations simultaneouslyBackground in scripting or automation (Batch, PowerShell, or similar)Experience with project coordination and time management for own projectsHandle fast-paced, high-pressure workload - self-starterExcellent note-taking and documentation skillsAble to independently assess and prioritize work based on urgency and impactDemonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.We thank all applicants for their interest.
