Lead Java Engineer

We are a small tech company looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is motivated and looking to be involved with ground up development of a new SaaS application. Company has a proven track record of building large scale SaaS applications in the B2B space over the past decade and continues to support these products and clients daily. Our primary focus is the fintech space. Will be the primary lead on a new partnership. Key responsibilities will include: - Translating business requirements into technical design - System design and architecture, considering short term and scalable growth goals - Acting as lead developer and managing the tasks of other development team members - Development of software and testing processes Required Skills/Experience: - Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. - 5+ Years Java web backend experience (Dropwizard/Spring Boot frameworks preferably) - AWS Cloud experience - EC2, SQS, S3 technologies - SQL + Relational database design principles - Rest API development, Postman Testing, JSON/XML data structures - Scripting experience critical: Selenium, HtmlUnit, BrowserStack, etc. - Gitlab, Sentry, CI tools, Jira - Frontend experience in ReactJS or NextJS is preferable but not required - Must be motivated and self driven, able to accomplish goals without micro-management This is a full time position, which would begin as work from home.
