We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented
Construction Superintendent
to oversee our public works and commercial projects across the Portland Metro area. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver safe, high-quality work on time and on budget. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced field environment and is passionate about mentoring crews and maintaining top-tier standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for public works and commercial projects
Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with company and regulatory protocols
Supervise daily operations, site logistics, subcontractors, and crew performance
Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain schedules, budgets, and project goals
Maintain accurate daily field reports, job logs, and progress tracking
Conduct quality control checks and resolve jobsite issues proactively
Ensure material deliveries, inspections, and installations meet project requirements
Facilitate clear communication with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
Uphold and model RJ Ramos' core values and foster a positive site culture
Qualifications
5 or more years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar commercial/public works construction leadership role
Experience with general contracting and/or electrical scopes is strongly preferred
Background in public sector projects such as transit, civic buildings, libraries, or educational facilities
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and field reporting tools
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time position
Competitive salary range at $85,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience
