Austin, TexasHybridFull-time We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers to design, build, and launch AI-powered software on Path. You'll spend your time embedded with customers—understanding their business, translating ideas into working products, and shipping everything from internal tools to customer-facing applications. If you enjoy solving real business problems, moving quickly, and wearing both product and engineering hats, you'll feel right at home. What we're looking for2–5 years of experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, implementation engineer, or technical consultant Strong experience building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks Experience working with GCP, Postgres, REST APIs, and third-party integrations Comfortable working directly with customers to understand requirements and present solutions Strong product intuition and the ability to make thoughtful decisions with limited direction Ability to quickly learn new technologies, APIs, and AI capabilities Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where priorities evolve quickly BonusExperience building AI-powered applications Experience with TanStack Router and TanStack Query Experience deploying production applications on Google Cloud Experience working in startups or consulting environments
What you'll do:
- Partner directly with customers to understand their business and technical goals
- Design, build, and launch production AI applications using PathBuild internal tools, customer portals, websites, mobile apps, automations, and AI workflows
- Integrate customer systems including CRMs, ERPs, databases, APIs, and third-party services
- Prototype new ideas quickly and iterate based on customer feedback
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve customer implementations
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to influence the Path platform based on customer needs
- Help establish best practices for deploying AI across industries

- Compensation$90,000–$120,000 base salary
