Estimator

We are growing and looking to hire an Estimator in the immediate future. Position: Estimator Overall Responsibility We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team at a small General Contracting firm. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. Key Areas of Responsibility Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials and labor. Review project plans and specifications. Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Develop and submit competitive bids. Maintain accurate records of estimates and bids Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 3+ years of construction trade estimating (carpentry, drywall, etc.) Ability to perform quantity take-offs, material and labor breakdowns. Knowledge of construction means and methods, desired Relationships with subcontracting community, including specialty trades.
