Forward Deployed Engineer

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers to implement AI-powered solutions and build custom integrations that solve complex business challenges.In this role, you will become the primary technical partner for customers, translating business requirements into production-ready AI applications. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to build customer-specific features that can ultimately become part of the core platform.This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company at the forefront of enterprise AI automation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end implementation of customer engagements.Gather customer requirements and design AI-powered solutions for existing workflows.Build customer-specific features, integrations, and automations using modern AI technologies.Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and enterprise customers.Deliver scalable, production-ready software in a fast-paced startup environment.Contribute customer-driven solutions that can evolve into core product capabilities.Required Qualifications2–4 years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or Backend Software Engineer with customer-facing implementation experience.Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript.Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents.Experience designing, building, and deploying customer-facing technical solutions.Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM discipline.Ability to work on-site five days per week in San Francisco (relocation assistance may be considered).Preferred QualificationsExperience working at a VC-backed AI startup or other high-growth technology company.Former founding engineer or early-stage startup experience.Experience building AI automations and enterprise integrations.Passion for solving customer problems through technology.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment.We are specifically seeking engineers who have built and deployed customer-facing technical solutions.
