Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in the dietary department, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet the needs of our guests. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Utilize proper knife skills for efficient food preparation while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of dishes. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, cooking equipment, and utensils throughout the shift. Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service. Experience Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering setting is mandatory. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required. Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure are important. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
