Salary : $37,554.00 - $56,331.00 AnnuallyLocation : Arkansas, ARJob Type: Full-TimeDepartment: Administration OfficeOpening Date: 03/25/2026Closing Date: ContinuousFLSA: Non-ExemptDescriptionThe incumbent is responsible to perform ongoing maintenance in City Hall/Police Department.Safety/Security Sensitive Designation: This position is classified as safety/security sensitive under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment and is therefore subject to random drug and alcohol testing.Job DutiesProvide good customer service to both internal and external customers; maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.Inspect and maintain custodial equipment and small tools, and ensure that they are in proper working condition.Demonstrated ability to repair small mechanical equipment.Performs minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance and repairs such as electrical, painting, floor covering, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and other semi-skilled trades work.Moves and sets up furniture, pictures, etc. as needed and assigned.Performs custodial duties as needed.Perform other related duties as required or assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience and/or training.Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver's License.Must be proficient in the use of a variety of maintenance equipment including manual and power tools, and lawn mowing equipment.Ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects.Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff.Supplemental InformationMust successfully pass criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses, and offenses against children.Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standards and obtain necessary certifications.At the City of Springdale, we're proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to our full-time employees (40+ hours per week).
