Job DescriptionIn the summer of 2021, Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the US through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction is Repsol's first foray into the U.S. renewables market. Our target is to own and operate 2GW of solar by 2025.Repsol, Renewables NA is actively looking for 2025 Summer Interns with a focus in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Management. These internships will support Engineering, Construction, Project Management and Operations and Maintenance and will work on the pipeline of solar and battery storage projects in different capacities. If you are passionate about working in a global, inclusive, and collaborative team to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for Repsol and the communities we serve, we want to hear from you.We are looking for motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering and Construction Interns for our summer program to join our team!This is a twelve (12) week onsite program consisting of 40hrs/ week starting May 19th,2025– August 8th,2025 at our Downtown Houston office which will include intern activities such as lunch and learns and conclude with an intern project fair that will be organized to add to your experience and expand your industry knowledge. This internship will also allow the opportunity to visit our various project sites (must be available for the full 12-week program duration period).Responsibilities:Perform basic product design modifications. Develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment. Create 3-D models from 2-D drawings. Generate and scan prints. Work directly with other engineers and professionals in a team environment and see how engineers work together to deliver success. Participating in the design process, creating drawings or prototypes, and contributing to the development of new products or technologies. Keeping accurate records of experiments, designs, and project-related information, and preparing reports or documentation as needed. Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to achieve project goals, and identifying and addressing technical issues or challenges that arise during projects and proposing solutions. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa. Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering (civil, electrical, or related), degree program. Having a technical background in civil/construction/electrical/mechanical engineering will be positively evaluated. Ability to be self-motivated and high attention to details. Exemplary standards of integrity, safety, ethics, quality, and productivity Proficiency with MS applications Self-motivated, organized, and hard-working Strong written and technical writing skills Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently.
